Packing always drives people crazy when it comes to Halong tours. 1. Electronic device
With over 3000 limestone islets and several caves and grottos, Halong Bay was nominated as UNESCO World Heritage and Asia’s top five tropical island paradises. The captivating seascapes do not stay the same, they change just after a few minutes therefore, it is highly advisable that you should bring along a camera to take photos and capture memories. Camera charger, an adequate amount of space on memory card and your preferred lens are another essential item on your to-pack list (even when your camera gear had been fully charged). 2. Warm clothes
You will need at least 2 set of clothes for the cold season which lasts from November to March: daily casual wear, evening wear and swimming clothes. Don’t ever underestimate the quick change of Halong weather and don’t ever be overconfident about your health because temperatures tend to decrease dramatically at night during winter time. If you are travelling with kids, make sure that they feel warm all the time by bringing extra sweaters just in case.
Getting tanned is not worth-it to let your skin come under attack from UV light in Halong Bay, especially during the summer. Sunscreen is highly-recommended when you are exposed under the sun during your trip.
4. Sandals or flip-flops
There are plenty of outdoor activities you might take part in during your Halong trip such as kayaking , swimming and visiting Vung Vieng village on rowing boat and what can be worse than wearing only one pair of sneakers and they are totally wet. You will have plenty of time on your own, sunbathing in the beauty of nature, either on a vessel or on a white sand beach. Reading in such breath-taking scenery is a gift from nature. Therefore, don’t forget to pack 1 or 2 books to accompany you on your trip to Halong Bay.
